Father’s House
What are the benefits of “dwelling in the house of the Lord all the days of my life?”
(Psalm 27:4)
David goes on in Psalm 27 to explain why living in Father’s house is desirable.
“In the day of trouble, he will keep me safe in his house, he will hide me in the shelter of his home and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be lifted up above all the enemies who surround me.”
(Psalm 27:5-6a, paraphrase)
Because in his house is the absolute safest place to be. There, safe with the God of the Universe. There, where even when troubles come— and they inevitably do— my head is still lifted up and victory is truly “in Jesus.” There safe in Father’s house.
